WATER
Nexsys develops and applies advanced water resources planning and management analyses. We create computer simulations of water systems under multiple scenarios, evaluate and/or optimize performance, and make design or policy recommendations.
We use decision-making under uncertainty (DMU) planning methods to help decision makers understand system vulnerabilities to uncertainties like climate change and water demand growth. We help clients identify what interventions maximize system performance given multiple goals (e.g., service levels, resilience, ecosystem services, etc.) whilst minimising costs…

WATER-ENERGY SYSTEMS
We develop and use state-of-the-art tools for the combined analysis of water resource and power systems. We undertake similar studies to those in the water area but considering the interactions between river basins (including agriculture and ecosystem services), energy, and wider WEFE systems. Most studies involve assessing impacts of future supply and demand changes or optimising intervention synergies within multisector systems.
